This is a fantastic player-grade example of an ES-345 from the golden age of Gibson electric guitar manufacturing. A dream for any player, it has undergone several modifications without sacrificing playability or tone. At some point, this guitar was converted to mono and had its F-hole near the controls enlarged, which was remedied with added binding to cover the repair. Additionally, it has holes drilled from a previously installed Bigsby, replaced original tuners with Grovers, touch-ups to the finish, several added holes in the top, and evidence of removed pickup covers.
The original patent number pickups deliver that quintessential '60s Gibson sound—rich, chimey, with great note separation and incredible sustain. The factory-original Varitone switch allows you to dial in an almost endless range of tones, including the signature bite and snarl favored by many classic blues guitarists. If you're looking for a player-grade ES-345 to add to your arsenal, this is the one for you.
