This Gibson Chet Atkins Studio Classic, once owned by Kirk Sand, is one of the earliest examples of the model. Based on Sand's original design, it features a hollow mahogany body with a fan-braced spruce top. Additional highlights include bass-side rim controls, abalone purfling, cocobolo binding, and a rosewood and abalone "Fleur-De-Lis" inlay. Cosmetically, it's in very good condition, with a repaired top crack and some minor nicks and surface scratches as the only notable signs of wear. The guitar plays effortlessly and comes with a Sand Guitars hardshell case.
