Modifications/Repairs1966 neck plate, neck pickup route very slightly widened as the routes were often very small in this era

The Telecaster Thinline was a left turn for Fender in the late 60's, offering a semi-hollow electric to their market. While the Thinline never overtook the original solid-body Telecaster in popularity, it has been the ideal instrument for many players to achieve an entirely unique sound and playing experience. This Telecaster Thinline is in exceptional condition. It shows beautiful finish checking all over and almost no hardware tarnishing. The neck date is August of 1968, the neck plate dates to 1966. The only modifications are a slightly widened neck pickup cavity, which is a common remedy to Fender's notoriously small pickup routs. The neck plate is from 1966, which could be a factory hiccup but is most likely a mixup when taking apart and reassembling the guitar alongside another '60s Fender long ago. All of the electronics show excellent original condition, this guitar has a particularly hot neck pickup reading 6.7k giving a little extra bite. Overall, this guitar is a wonderful example of Fender Thinline Telecaster from the late 60's it sounds great and could benefit from a refret, but currently plays well.

Comes with the original Fender hardshell case
