The Fender Telecaster's reputation precedes it. 1958 was a banner year for Johnny Cash and the Tennessee Three. It was also a great year of iconic pre-CBS specs like blonde nitro finish over ash, single ply pick guards, cloth wiring and maple necks; the latter of which would transition to rosewood. This is example is in well-played, yet honest condition. There was an added treble bleed to the otherwise original circuit. This example saw heavy playwear in its life and subsequentially received a refret. All the nitro lacquer is checked and in its original state; but the inside has black shielding paint. This guitar sums up the glory days of the Nashville music scene.
Comes with modern Fender tweed case.
