In 1954 Fender changed the pickguard color on their Telecaster guitar and the "White guard" was born. This is not one of them. This '54 Fender Telecaster is nice and lightweight at 7.2 pounds. It also features a big neck, a huge neck actually. If you like big necks, have we got a Tele for you! The guitar plays great and the rewound bridge pickup conjurs up all the great Tele sounds from the days of yore. Here's the rundown on what's been changed on the guitar: The guitar's been refinished, the neck has been replaced, the bridge pickup has been rewound, tuners replaced. The pickguard is a beautiful bakelite blackguard reproduction. The electronics, ie... the switch and the pots... are original to the guitar. The guitar comes in an '80s Fender hardshell case.
