This 1965 Fender Stratocaster has been extensively reworked over time, resulting in a well-used example with a clear, articulate response and a slightly more modernized feel. The body is not a Fender body and has been fully refinished, and much of the hardware and electronics have been replaced, including the pickups, potentiometers, switch, and associated components. The current pickups are unmarked black bobbin units wound with Formvar wire, offering a balanced output with a smooth top end and defined midrange.
Additional changes include a replaced Callaham bridge plate and tremolo block, along with updated saddles, tuners, nut, pickup covers, and knobs. The pickguard has been modified to accommodate a larger neck route. The neck has been refretted, and there is a repaired crack beneath the tuner area on the headstock from a previous installation.
Overall, it stands as a player-grade Stratocaster with significant updates and structural repairs. It retains the core construction of a mid-’60s example, with a range of replacement parts that reflect ongoing maintenance and adaptation.
Includes 60s Fender hard shell case.
