This 1965 Fender Stratocaster comes from the company's biggest transition year: 1965. '65 saw CBS's acquisition of the company and the introduction of pearl dot inlays... an early indicator of some big changes coming to the brand's guitar design. This example remains in really great shape for its age. There is light player wear that Custom Shop relic'ers would dream of being able to nail. A killer refret has it playing great and the original pickups offer the classic mid-scooped tone Strat lovers crave. Other than the refret, decal and swapped string tree and switch, this guitar is all original! The original plate is included in the case, however one of the screw holes is chipped. The tremolo arm and original ash tray are in the case as well.
Includes OHSC.
