Master Built by David Brown, this ’62 Poblano Strat Relic is a deeply expressive take on a classic Strat platform, finished in a rich Chocolate 3-Tone Sunburst with heavy, dirty checking that gives it the look of a well-lived original. The alder body keeps the response balanced and resonant, while the relic lacquer finish and gold hardware add warmth and visual depth without feeling ornamental.
The quartersawn AA flame maple neck features a slab rosewood fingerboard and a comfortable ’60s-style oval “C” profile, paired with a compound 7.25"–9.5" radius that blends vintage feel with modern playability. Custom dimensions (.780" at the 1st fret, .975" at the 12th) give the neck a substantial but articulate grip. Josefina hand-wound Poblano Strat pickups deliver a wide dynamic range—full and muscular, with clarity and harmonic detail—wired through vintage-mod Strat electronics and a 5-way CRL switch.
From the heavy relic neck back to the fret ghosting and worn hardware, every detail feels intentional and expertly executed. A master-built Strat that balances personality, playability, and tone at a very high level. Comes with Fender Custom Shop brown case and Certificate of Authenticity.
