1960's Jazzmasters are among the most highly favored Fender models that players have been drawn to over the years. The versatile sound and tonal options these offset guitars offers are an excellent addition to any studio lineup. The Jazzmaster's pickups are distinct and can cover a great country sound all the way to heavy rock tones. This example has an old refinish in burgundy mist nitro that is covering the original burgundy mist finish; this was a rare custom color and it can be seen in the neck pocket and bridge cavity. It has aged beautifully and the clear coat has yellowed. This is an excellent player and is suitable for any player looking for that classic sound with a gorgeous custom color with matching headstock. There is vintage expletive graffiti scratched into the backplate; which is not only rock and roll, but likely telling to why the guitar had to be refinished. One tone pot was replaced in 1970 and the Bridge foam was replaced.
