The 1980 Fender FJ-70 is a Japanese-made jumbo acoustic guitar, part of Fender's early foray into high-quality acoustic instruments produced in collaboration with Tokai and other factories. Featuring a spruce top with rosewood back and sides, the FJ-70 offers a warm, balanced tone with strong projection. Its build quality reflects the craftsmanship of early '80s Japanese guitars, with a comfortable neck profile and reliable playability. Though not as well-known as Fender's electrics, the FJ-70 has become a hidden gem for players seeking vintage tone and character at an accessible price. Check out the Specs tab for the full repair history. Includes the original hardshell case.

*When using Affirm, we charge an additional 3.5% fee on the total at checkout. The majority of our instruments are consignment, where CVG keeps a small percentage of each sale. To be able to cover the additional costs required to offer financing, we have to include a higher fee to the customer. The 3.5% fee will be included in and spread across your Affirm payments.
