This 1986 Fender American Vintage Reissue '62 Stratocaster comes from the early years of the post-CBS Fullerton factory era, finished in a rare Candy Apple Blue. Built with the expected early AVRI specs, it features a slab rosewood fingerboard and vintage-correct hardware throughout. The neck has a comfortable slim “C” profile with a lacquer finish that’s beginning to show some natural aging, lending it a more open feel. The original pickups offer a dry, articulate response with the characteristic chime and midrange clarity of this period’s reissues. Electronics and hardware remain untouched, and the guitar itself remains in great shape with minimal play wear. A distinctive example from a transitional moment in Fender’s U.S. production history. Includes OHSC.
