The Epiphone Casino was introduced in 1961 as a hollow body thinline that was a cousin to the Gibson ES-330. The Guitar rose to fame with the Beatles in the mid to late 60's through the hands of Paul, John and George. This example from the first year is astounding. It is always a great day when a rare first year instrument in all original condition comes in. Even the Royal Olive finish is in wonderful shape, showing off the look of the 60's instrument. The D tuner is bent, but that is the only blemish on this guitar. P90's give the guitar a warmth and clarity that made it a great addition to the stage from 1961 until today. Some light marks from age show the years of enjoyment, but this is certainly a collectors piece. The guitar plays very well and sounds superb. This Casino will find a happy home with its next owner and be preserved as a part of music history from the 1960's. Plug it in, turn it up and play "Ticket to Ride" like it's 1965.

Comes with its original Epiphone hard shell case
