This Ellis Twin Point mandolin is a special instrument from the 2019 NAMM Show. The difference in this mandolin is an extra fine fit and finish mandolin with an oval sound hole to further color the sound. This mandolin in an incredible representation of not sacrificing sound for increased playability. Access all the way up the neck further improves the musicians note availability without working around a scroll or shoulder. The appointments on this mandolin include block inlays, A-4 style rosette, tortoise fingerboard binding and a beautiful tobacco sunburst finish.
"The Ellis Twin Point Special bridges the gap between the design of our F5 and the A5 models with it's distinctly unique profile. Built from the finest quality tone woods, the radiused fingerboard and speed neck puts the focus of this instrument on playability. Our Twin Point retains the distinct Ellis voice that sounds unquestionably richer, sweeter, and has more sustain that the typical Loar F5 voice found in many contemporary instruments."
