1967 Dallas - Arbiter Fuzz Face with Germanium transistors. The Jimi Hendrix, "Secret weapon" pedal. The Fuzz Face was always turned on when Jimi played live. This is a very early silver paint version with the painted lettering. The next generation D - A fuzzes came with stenciled letters. This thing sounds so good, the fuzz sound is full, fat, smooth and perfectly torn up. The pedal also does the clean up thing perfectly with the volume knob of the guitar. One of the NKT275s has been replaced with a period correct AC128 transistor. The volume pot has been replaced. The, "Fuzz" control pot is a Clarostat from 1961 with a code: 140 - 6135. A 470 ohm resistor has been replaced with a modern carbon film unit. An iconic and rare effect, definitely a piece of history.
