The Wolf guitar is known throughout music as the beloved weapon of Jerry Garcia. Originally built by Doug Irwin, the Wolf holds a place near and dear Grateful Dead fans, always holding an iconic space in the minds of fans and guitar players alike. This particular guitar is a recreation of Jerry's guitar with great attention to build and intention without purely copying the instrument. This guitar has only a solid Ash body, unlike the layered body of Purple Heart and beautiful quilted maple, which makes this guitar exceptionally lighter. The neck still renders some hints of Purple Heart in the stringers and the pickup housing. All of the electronics are dedicated to landing very close to the original wiring and functionality. While this guitar does not have some of the fancier finish points of the original Wolf, it is still only a wolf sticker shy of being an incredible replica for any fan of Jerry Garcia.
