This was one of the last guitars made by Paul Berger of St. Augustine, FL, who died in 2015. Berger worked for the Martin company beginning in 1963, and he set up his own shop in Florida in the 1970s. Berger built this guitar for Americana artist Jim Lauderdale, using wood from his legendary stash of Brazilian Rosewood. It is modeled on Martin's 00-28, complete with herringbone top border.
