This smaller bodied Bashkin is an incredible instrument. Some guitars let the player know how they desire to be played and this Placencia does just that. It presents rich tones when finger picked and opens with surprising headroom when strummed. There is not one obvious playing style that works best, however finger style is certainly the most intimate playing experience. The Figured Honduran Mahogany is stunning and the Western Cedar top helps in shaping the tonal characteristics. This is a wonderful guitar from a seasoned and impressive luthier.Eloquently and accurately said by Bashkin: "Each OM instrument is individually voiced to provide a dynamic range broad enough to respond immediately to the player’s most subtle touch - or when called upon, to speak with power and presence - with very little urging. This is an exceptionally comfortable instrument with excellent note separation and balance that makes it an ideal choice for composing and recording."Comes with a carbon fiber Hoffee case
