Luthier Ed Foley has been building guitars since 1988, and has accrued some wonderful accolades in that time. Legendary fingerstylist and teacher Stefan Grossman said, "Ed Foley makes unique guitars that combined superb tone, workmanship, wood and playability." This particular 000-28 features a spruce top complimented by Indian rosewood back and sides along with a mahogany neck and Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar, commissioned in 1995, shows evidence of wear such as finish checking, scratches, and various minor dings. Nevertheless, the instrument maintains its overall structural integrity. The neck was intentionally set high by the builder, and it features a notably tall saddle. This guitar produces a wonderful sound and offers excellent playability with medium action.
