Originally a D-28 in 1966 this dreadnought has since been converted to the top of the food chain for looks. The neck was replaced with an adorned slotted headstock neck with a slight V. As part of the conversion process the guitar received a new bridge and some added binding and inlays, the guitar was also refinished to give it a much more consistent feel after the work was done. The conversion was performed by John Hall, a retired Martin employee, who performed it under his shop Bluescreek Guitars. It was converted about seven years ago using all original Martin supplies and is registered accordingly with Martin.
This guitar plays wonderfully with low action and has an even tone that responds well to variations in playing. The combination of Adirondack and Brazilian Rosewood provides a beautiful and balanced tone with plenty of bass and note separation.
Comes in a very nice Martin leather hard case
