This beautiful OM from North Carolina luthier John Kinnaird combines traditional tone and feel with some modern touches. Brazilian rosewood meets Adirondack spruce for a classic, nuanced and rich tone, mixed with a bit of a gutsy attack. We especially love the neck carve, which starts with a slight V and flattens into a rounded C shape towards the body, and the triangular fret markers on the side. A side soundport allows easy self-monitoring. Not quite a full 45-style, abalone purfling and rosette and engraved gold tuners still give this guitar a deluxe look.
Condition wise, overall it is excellent and the set-up is versatile for both fingerstyle and flatpick use. We do note some finish bubbling on the neck along the grain pattern, giving it a tactile feel more like a satin finish. Ships in a Cedar Creek hard case.
