Pre-Gibson Custom Shop, some dealers were in well enough with Gibson to order their customers close to vintage spec Les Pauls. Known as Pre-Historics, these rare Les Pauls are critical part of the reissue history. Nickel hardware, thin lacquer, correct headstock angle, and ink stamp serial number; Gibson certainly had understanding of their iconic model. This example shows signs of wear typical for a guitar of its age that has been played. The neck is perfectly worn in, providing the feel that custom shops have been trying to replicate for years. There is plenty of vibe with this one, and it plays and sounds just like a great Les Paul should!
