The iconic J-45 has earned its honor as the most popular Gibson acoustic model, and this example from Gibson's golden era is no exception. Tear-shaped pickguard examples (pre-early 1955) have scalloped bracing; which is also what make pre-war Martins so special. The Brazilian rosewood fingerboard on this example is stunning with a dark streak running through it. The bridge was shaved down to .347" in height (well within factory original specs) to forgo a neck reset; it was a rare case of an overly tall bridge to begin with. It has medium action and there is plenty of saddle height to come down if desired. It has had a pickguard related crack repaired without loss of lacquer, tuner buttons replaced, and a several braces reglued. This guitar survived quite well through the years from proper hydration and only really needed work that they all require. A pre-1955 slope shouldered J-45 qualifies for many players as the only guitar you ever need. The warm and boomy sound of this one won't dissapoint.

Comes with hardshell case.
