The Gibson ES-137 is known for its semi-hollow body design, combining a center block with hollow wings, which contributes to a rich, resonant tone with reduced feedback, ideal for both clean and overdriven sounds. The guitar also features a distinctive Florentine cutaway, providing easy access to the upper frets. This guitar in particular was owned by Matthew Followill, of the band Kings of Leon. Despite being thoroughly played, the guitar has been well kept, and only has light surface scratches in the form of pick wear and belt rash. Something to note is that the bottom strap button is missing. It comes with the original Gibson hard case, of which the handle has broken off of.
