While you can now get your Fender guitars in any color under the sun without upcharge, for a very large chunk of Fender history, you would have to fill out an order form with a dealer and pay an extra premium for your custom color. The standard color for Telecasters was blonde or olympic white and Stratocasters was sunburst. This Fender Telecaster from 1975 was factory custom ordered in black. Apart from a couple stickers and a bone nut change, this guitar has survived in much of its original state. Comes in its original orange-lined hardshell case.
