Notes: Changed power cord & electrolytic caps. All stock otherwise.
Though they all seem to perform well, this1965 Fender Bassman has a particularly excellent sound. As is common in this era the noise floor is slightly higher than some of the smaller Fenders, though it is certainly manageable, given the wattage. Buyers should note that although the original tube chart is marked "AA165" the actual stock circuit is the more common AB165 type.
It looks great for it's age, with only minor signs of previous wear. Internally, the power cord and electrolytic caps have been changed, along with a couple power resistors. The power tube sockets have been swapped as well, along with a couple ceramic caps on the "Bass Instrument" side of the circuit. Otherwise, the amp is all original. These AB165 Bassman amps have been gaining popularity over the years, offering a great sounding alternative to the tweed era, at a fraction of the price.
