Tokai Springy Sound 1981, Candy Apple Red

This very clean early '80s Tokai's headstock reads: "Tokai Springy Sound, this is the exact replica of the good old Strat." - and that, it is! With desirable "U" stamp gray bobbin pickups, this guitar has all the classic Strat chime you could hope for. It has just a few dings around the body and the pots have been upgraded to CTS 250k which is a welcome modification since the original alpha pots on many vintage Japanese guitars can dampen the sound of the excellent sounding pickups. This guitar has had a recent refret giving it very comfortable modern playability since the original frets on these guitars were quite low to match the '60s Strats they were modeled after.
