This is a spectacular fingerstyle guitar from Marc Maingard, the godfather of luthier-built instruments in South Africa. Marc has trained some incredible builders including the now world-renowned Casimi team Matthias and Matthew. Marc builds guitars that truly will take your breath away aesthetically and sonically, making every piece of wood he uses sing to its absolute full potential.

This stunning Grand Concert is constructed with Brazilian rosewood back and sides and a master-grade Italian spruce top. Every angle of this guitar is beautifully detailed and the tonal quality far exceeds even the visual beauty. Marc really pulls out all the stops with his guitars. This is a very rare and unique instrument that has a Macassar ebony rosette, with hand-cut, genuine sterling silver inlays of African wildlife. Marc meticulously inlayed depictions of a rhino, kudu buck, antelope, giraffe, and a bush pig. If you look closely, you will see his little front tusks!

This guitar was purchased from TNAG in 2022; photos and video were taken then. Its condition is still excellent, and it comes with its original Hiscox hard case.
