This Guild jumbo is an excellent guitar for the player looking for a direct sound with plenty of volume. The jumbo body shape of the F-40 offers the player a dynamic stage to practice both flatpicking and finger picking. This guitar is in very good condition with some modifications over the past few decades. Repairs and modifications include an added maple bridge plate cap, bridge reglue, missing the internal sticker, one top crack below the bridge, a shimmed nut, shaved bridge, previously reamed for grover rotomatics (it now has Kluson style tuners and conversion bushings). This is a very well playing guitar and an excellent Guild from the late 50's.
