Instrument: Hollow and Semi-Hollow Body
Brand: Gretsch
Model: 6120 Chet Atkins
Finish: Orange
SKU: GE2146-A
Handedness: Right
Made In Year: 1957
The Gretsch 6120 Chet Atkins is a semi-hollowbody electric guitar that was designed in collaboration with the legendary guitarist Chet Atkins. The model was first introduced in 1954 and has since become a classic instrument, used by many prominent musicians in genres ranging from rockabilly to jazz. The guitar finish on this 1957 is original with some wear in the cowboy chord position on the back of the neck. The guitar has never been damaged and there has never been any type of repairs made. The pickups still have the original wiring. The tuners were changed out for White Falcon tuners in 1972 (the originals are not included).
The cowboy case is not worn but has some areas that need to be re-glued and the handle needs new leather. My Dad bought me this guitar along with a deluxe reverb Fender amp in 1969 from the Guitar House in Tulsa, OK. Both the guitar and amp are in great playing condition.
