Dave's Guitars Charlotte is proud to offer a 1968 Gibson ES-355TDC (thin, dual pickups, cherry) with factory mono & factory Bigsby configuration! Way cool.
This fine, pre-Norlin 355 arrived from the grandson of the "original owner." I use quotes since the guitar was originally owned by Josias—the name stenciled on the case. Long story short, Josias owed a guy money and paid his tab with a 355. The guitar has been in the family since 1970 or so. It wasn't played much leaving it in mostly original condition.
This guitar is almost entirely original and is clean under a blacklight. All four pots, Switchcraft toggle 3-way, patent # pickups—all original. Original pickguard in poor condition included and Fox Guitars repro installed reusing mounting hardware. While all four knobs are period correct, there are x3 tones and x1 vol.; the original vol. chipped off and is included. High-e string occasionally slips off the fingerboard, and while we have decided against replacing the original nut, it would definitely fix the problem.
Being picky, its cosmetic condition is 7/10–yes, there are are scratches, dings, and signs of usage over the past several decades. This is a used guitar.
I thoroughly examine all outgoing shipments one last time before packaging to ensure condition meets our listed condition; this listing's condition is Very Good.
This will be professionally packaged in a sturdy cardboard box.
