Instrument: Bass Guitars
Brand: Gibson
Model: EBSF-1250 Doubleneck
Finish: Black
SKU: BS1002-A
Handedness: Right
Made In Year: 1966
This awesome Gibson EBSF-1250 was made in the USA in 1966. It has an original black finish. Only a few of these were ever made. The instrument shows wear but it is in excellent playing condition. While it is in overall good structural condition, the bass neck was reset professionally at some point in the past. The repair work is top notch and very hard to see without using a blacklight. Most of the parts are original, but the tailpiece on the guitar side has been replaced. It is evident that another tailpiece was mounted at some point and as a result there are several filled screw holes in that area. Finally, the fuzz-tone unit had to be rebuilt - to do this we used parts from a 1966 fuzz-tone pedal so it has the correct parts and circuit. All of the other parts are original. This is a very rare and interesting instrument. It weighs 12 pounds and 3 ounces and comes with the original case which has some hippie stickers on it.
