A rare 1953 Blackguard tele with body and neck date of 3-53. This is a great tele that has a couple of changes.  

1. Neck has been refretted and gloss finish removed off the board and back of neck.  There is still finish and a very professional job.

2. The jack cup has been replace by a newer screw in type

3. The capacitor to the neck pick up has been cut to open but not removed.

4. No ash trayOverall condition is very good. 

The black guard has grime from playing but we did not want to polish the guard.  All other parts are original and it sounds amazing

We do not have the original thermometer case but the guitar comes in a 1982-1983 tweed Fender VRI case.
