Instrument: Solid Body
Brand: Fender
Model: Stratocaster
Finish: Sunburst
SKU: GS6410-A
Handedness: Right
Made In Year: 1965
Dave's Guitars Charlotte is proud to offer an absolutely uncirculated 1965 Fender Stratocaster in its original finish Sunburst. This guitar has pre-CBS buyout specs meaning mint guard, clay dot inlays, and transitional logo. In my opinion, I'd call this pre-CBS, but that's just me. It was produced—at the very least—on the cusp of many drastic changes that affect collectibility.
Our seller, who has elected to remain unnamed, received this as a gift Christmas morning 1965. His choice was between a Gibson Firebird and a Strat. How could he have gone wrong?! It is factory original except for a stainless steel refret in keeping with period-correct size. A true gem replete with every feature a mid-1960s Strat fan wants, and I couldn't be happier to offer it for sale.
Correct "no logo" original black tolex case, strap, 3-way switch, original—untouched—solder connections...what more could you want? With only two previous neck pulls for two reputable appraisals, I am the third person to ever take the guitar apart. The neck pocket is extremely tight and requires serious—albeit careful & slow—pressure to remove and reinstall. I am happy to email its purchaser high-quality photos so the neck nor guard will ever have to be removed again.
These are sure to continue appreciating in value, and with inflation on the rise, it isn't a bad hedge either. Get yours today before its too late...
Neck Depth in inches: 1st fret 0.77; 5th fret 0.85; 7th fret 0.88; 9th fret 0.91; 12th fret 0.94
Being picky, its cosmetic condition is 7/10–yes, there are are scratches, dings, and signs of usage over the past several decades. This is a used guitar.
I thoroughly examine all outgoing shipments one last time before packaging to ensure condition meets our listed condition; this listing's condition is Very Good.
This will be professionally packaged in a sturdy cardboard box.
