Dave's Guitars Charlotte is proud to offer a 1960 Fender Jazzmaster in terrific vintage condition. This guitar was purchased second-hand alongside a 1966 Vibrolux Reverb-Amp by Eddie—a then junior highschool gigging musician in a surf rock band. He alternated between rhythm guitar and saxophone, leaving this Jazzmaster in almost 100% original condition. A very clean example!

This guitar has zero issues and plays fantastic as you'd expect. Brazilian rosewood fretboard, pots dating to the 59th week of 1959, middle latch "knucklebuster" case, etc. Original whammy bar is included. All electronics and hardware are original except for the tuners, which are period-correct single line Klusons. This guitar is a complete, original piece and the only prior modification was replacing tuners with Grovers which has obviously been corrected. No neck date as is correct for mid-to-late '59 and early '60; dates seem to reappear around May 1960.

It pains me to sell this, but I don't play it. It belongs in a collection, and I either play or sell my guitars. I don't like keeping this in a case unplayed. It deserves better than that! Plus, it is only appreciating in value. I don't even want to imagine what pre-CBS offsets will go for years from now...jump on the train before it leaves for good.

Being picky, its cosmetic condition is 7/10–yes, there are are scratches, dings, and signs of usage over the past 63 years. This is a used guitar.

I thoroughly examine all outgoing shipments one last time before packaging to ensure condition meets our listed condition; this listing's condition is Very Good.

This will be professionally packaged in a sturdy cardboard box.
