Ralph Bown is one of the UK's most sought after luthiers. His guitars can be heard in the hands of legends like John Renbourn and Clive Carroll, and when they show up on the market, they don't usually last long! This 42-style OM was crafted in 1987, with Sitka spruce and Central American ziricote. Ralph's expert craftsmanship and traditional build style result in a wonderful, unique version of the rosewood OM. The flat fretboard and wide 1-7/8" nut is especially well-suited for fingerstylists, providing ample room for multi-part arrangements. The seller says:
"Tonally this is the best OM I have owned in over 25 years of being around guitars. Not long ago, a guitarist of some note played it and said the same thing. It is unusually immediate in its response, and there is a lovely vintage bite to the basses. Incredibly articulate instrument. There are minor playing marks, but in the opinion of any reasonable person this instrument is in exceptional condition for a 1987 guitar."
