Product Code: GF5305
In the early 1940's, during World War II, Gibson introduced the LGs, a series of student model guitars. This particular model, the LG-2, was the first model of the company's LG series. The x-bracing and wood of the LG-2 ultimately lives up to the nickname "Little Giant," as it produces a full-bodied and well-balanced tone. This example has a few unplugged holes in the lower rim from an old tailpiece, five cleated back cracks, three repaired bass side rim cracks, and a repaired pickguard/soundhole crack. It's hardware is still mostly original, with the exception of a refret. The neck has been reset, a necessary maintenance to enhance playability and intonation, and the bridge was reglued. Proudly displaying heavy pickwear and finish imperfections, this guitar is loaded with vintage character.
