An outstanding Gibson archtop from the late '70s. The Johnny Smith model was introduced in 1961 featuring a single floating mini-humbucker pickup with a single knob mounted on the pickguard and an x-braced top. This particular example was entirely refinished, refretted, and has a replaced pickguard and pot and a hardly noticeable top patch at the cutaway. Though the label is missing from the inside of the body, the serial number was stamped into the back of the headstock by Gibson around 2008, dating the instrument to 1976.
